A single drop into freshly applied alcohol ink will ripple out and create a billowing effect, as well as lightening and increasing the transparency of the paint. In reverse, a drop of alcohol ink can applied to blending solution that has already been poured over a surface for instantly lighter ink that spreads quickly. Blending solution can also be applied to almost dry alcohol ink to refresh and moisten it.
